Laura Drăgan is a research fellow in the Web And Internet Science research group of the Electronics and Computer Science Department at the University of Southampton, currently working on the EPSRC project SOCIAM. Laura obtained a PhD in Informatics from the Digital Enterprise Research Institute, at the National University of Ireland in Galway.
Her research interests include Linked Data and the Semantic Web, Open Data, data representation, and linked personal data. Her current work focuses on giving back control to the users over their personal data, through provenance representation, privacy and accountability mechanisms. Her previous work includes interlinking and managing personal semantic information, in the context of the Semantic Desktop.
